So… a couple of weeks ago, Joel and Dia met me at one of my favorite camp sites of all time— Persimmon Creek in Murphy, NC –at the Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee corners. They are such a cute couple! They kept saying to me “oh we’re such a boring couple!” but really— they were anything but! They were so cool and relaxed— and up for an adventure! Some how, I lucked out and was able to get the opportunity to shoot Emily and Stephen from POGOPHOTO. OK luck can be personified because Kristi is my horseshoe. She set up a shoot with these chill and talented photographers from Florida while we were in Vegas for WPPI. What can I say, she is the JAM!
Emily and Stephen are so quick witted– they never skip a beat… and it is so obvious that their relationship still harbors the same fiery passion they had as newlyweds.
I noticed while selecting images to blog that these images are quite the dichotomy between quirky/playful and sensual/romantic. There were times where we were all laughing hysterically and other times where I was like… hmmm should I let them be by themselves for a while?
So… YES! Emily and Stephen are still married and will continue to be married for a long, long, time!

I love my clients. I’m not just saying that either… I really do enjoy the company of my clients. I met with Suzanne, the bride’s mother at OK Cafe (delish!) sometime in January to discuss her daughter’s wedding in March. She had tears in her eyes during most of our lunch. She was so excited.
She described Whitney and Tucker to a T. Earthy, outdoorsy, and so in love. — my type of couple!
On March 12, 2011 Canoe radiated with warm vibes and an all around good feeling… it was one of those nights where I felt so lucky to be a part of such a special day… oh! And did I mention they are party animals!?! I love a good time and these folks know how to throw down! <3!
A big thanks to Sean for helping me with this amazing wedding! You rocked the booth and busted out some awesome venue shots like the one of Canoe (below).

John and Nicole are the JAM! The whole shoot we kept saying to each other… “this is so chill! It’s like hangin’ out with friends!” and it was. Their shoot entailed ice cream, balloons, pinwheels, jelly beans, a relaxed attitude, and “that’s what she said” jokes! — my kind of people!! We made several stops in/near Marietta… some of which included the square– which I must say, everyone and their mother who owns a camera was there that Sunday. We stopped off at the park, as well as some private properties that proudly displayed ‘no trespassing or we will shoot you’ signs… needless to say, paranoia ensued and we skedaddled immediately. Here are a few that I fell in love with.

I decided to add a little flare to my A La Cart options this year! Introducing the CrazyBooth! For all of your crazy friends and their crazy antics!
Terms of use:
Crazy Antics thus far includes but is not limited to mooning, flashing, motorboating, and other various acts that would not be approved by the Pope… or your mom. With that said, I will also include a “hmmm that photo should not be released in public because these people were highly intoxicated at the time” digital folder that will be locked with a password. These photos may be used for bribery purposes by the bride and groom only. However I do require a 50% commission rate for all proceeds collected… (jk… or maybe not.)
