Rachel and Justin could possibly be two of my favorite people at this very moment. Mainly b/c I’ve been editing their photos and staring at their beautiful faces for hours… and I have fallen in love with their love for each other. I always try to explain the deeper connection I feel with people once I’ve photographed them. They exude this new sense of confidence in front of the camera; they can often feel vulnerable, and I always catch tiny micro expressions that truly describe who a person is and how they are feeling in a blink of an eye– a click of a shutter. Rachel is hilarious, beautiful, and has this cool strong, yet relaxed hippie vibe. Justin is her perfect match. He will combat her with wit and compliment her with this tender love you can see when they look at each other. They have this rare type of love that is raw, honest, full of humor, and mutual acceptance. Hooray for love!
Their engagement session consisted of bourbon chick-fil-a lemonade compliments of my handy dandy flask… and Rachel’s basket full of clothes and accessories from Anthropologie that makes my heart flutter just thinking about! This shoot didn’t last the usual 2 hours… but well into the night… as it’s difficult to put my camera down when my subjects are willing to submerge themselves chest deep in questionable waters! They were up for anything!!! AND IT WAS AMAZING! I am so pumped to photograph their wedding in Big Sur next spring!!
