who that is.

Shalom!

My name is Thu (pronounced like the # 2). I am a lifestyle and event photographer located in the metro-Atlanta area.

What can I say, I’m a camera clicking junkie with a short attention span and an affinity for finger puppets.

I like to climb and get in very awkward positions when I shoot… I lay down, roll around, scoot, shuffle, dance. You name it. I’m a circus monkey and will go through many lengths to get just the right shot…

Feel free to take a gander through my blog, learn more about me, and how I can capture life as it happens. If something sparks your interest, feel free to throw your hands up and holler… or comment below. :)

Happy Trails!

Thu

Art Walk is monthly occasion held by the small business owners of Marietta Square. The first Friday of Summer and Fall months— Artists are encouraged to display their craft.

Be Yoga kindly asked if I was interested— and I could not resist the opportunity to celebrate my craft among my peers, local artists, and craftsmen, especially since the square is seemingly my home away from home. On any given day, you can find me working at Cool Beans, working out Crossfit Square, grabbing a bite at Marietta Pizza Company or Thaicoon, or doing pilates at Be Yoga. With that said– I couldn’t find a more supportive environment to share my world and display my perspective on life.

To add an interactive element to the gallery, Adrianne and I (wo)manned the CrazyBooth.

Here are a few photos form the booth!

Thanks Be, for allowing me to share my images with the community, Adrianne for saving my life, and everyone for stopping by!!!!! It would not have been such a great success with out all of you!

Sneak Peek! | Christyne & Dustin are Hitched! | Atlanta Wedding Photographer

October 25th, 2011

I had the pleasure of shooting Christyne & Dustin’s romantic vintage wedding at Cedar Plantation in Acworth. What a party! I love coming home from a wedding feeling exhausted from all the dancing I’ve done! These two are beautiful, charismatic, and have hearts of gold! I couldn’t ask for better clients!

Sneak Peek! | Hutson turned 3 months!! | Atlanta Portrait Photographer

I always get so sentimental when I blog about babies. Maybe it’s my clock ticking away… or the thought behind what it is to start a life; to enter this world; to begin a journey; to build a personality; to love; to hate; to feel anything; and to experience everything. Life is a poetic thing and beginning a lifetime is absolutely magical…

I was lucky enough to be one of the few to meet Hutson within days of his birth and experience the excitement and the joy around his arrival. Here are a few of my favorites from my experience that day along with a few from his 3mo shoot. He is growing so fast!

Wedding Photography | Kristina & Ryan… Camel’s Peacocks, and llamas Oh my! | Atlanta Wedding Photographer

October 11th, 2011

I can honestly say, even though I am not a religious person so to speak.. that I am blessed with awesome photographer friends who are funky and like random things just as much as I do. Kristi Odom, one of my best friends and mentors, invited me on an adventure with Kristina and Ryan… on a camel farm?!!

That morning consisted of scattered, covered, and smothered… camel slobber… laughs… and stepping in 4 different types of animal feces. For all I know it could’ve been several variations considering there were about 20 different types of animals wandering around that farm.

Kristina & Ryan are fabulous in every way, shape, and form… and I am so fortunate to have the opportunity to work with Kristi for such a unique shoot!

Wedding Day photos to come!

Atlanta Weddings | Christina & Jared are hitched! | Atlanta Wedding Photographer

This is a post-shoot photographed at an awesome little park in Cartersville, GA. We stumbled upon a perfect little barn on the side of the road on the way back. The feel of this set is seemingly bi-polar—attributed to the weather of course. We experienced a moody and foggy morning that transpired into a beautiful sunny afternoon.

This was intended to be a “sneak peek!” but I couldn’t help myself!

enjoy this sneak stare!

Sneak Peek! | Whitney & Tucker After Shoot | Destination Wedding Photographer

This summer, I trekked across the U.S for an adventure! Road tripping out west was definitely on the top of my bucket list, so I decided– since I didn’t have any weddings booked in July/early August that I would take advantage of my time off… and do some soul searching. I’ve always HATED commuting and being in traffic. Me + Traffic = Road Rage Extraordinaire! But driving for leisure is a different experience all together. With good music and the open road… the mind can travel.

While on  my trip— I was lucky enough to schedule a shoot with a few of my favorite clients– Whitney & Tucker. They are avid fly fishers from Denver. We greeted our morning with Manmosas and bloody Marys and started our adventure to the “Pooter” River.

Apparently I have the sense of humor of a 8th grade boy because I DIED laughing when I heard that we were going to the “Pooter” river, but only to my embarrassment– it’s spelled POUDRE… which isn’t nearly as funny as originally thought to be.

Here is a shot taken in transit to our next location. :)

Many more to come!

One eyed dogs, Jagermeister, and giant cupcakes! Need I say more?! Sometimes weddings could go on into the night and I would keep on dancing.
