I met Courtney and Clayton for the first time at Menchies! Surprisingly, this was my first experience here and I must say I’m a fan! I generally force most of my prospective clients to meet me at a FroYo joint… for a few of reasons. 1— it’s the best thing since sliced bread 2— it’s the bees knees 3— it’s the jam.

No… but really, I feel almost as if it is my life’s mission to spread the Frozen Yogurt Love. I really like how I don’t feel guilty eating it because it’s “yogurt” .. it has probiotics and calcium!! It’s not really ice scream. Plus I can justify going several times a week if it’s for “work.”

The truth is out.

Within the first 5 minutes of meeting with Courtney and Clayton, I knew we would get along! We were quoting youtube videos and sharing inappropriate family stories before we even finished our yogurt. This past weekend, we continued our fun at the Goat Farm in Atlanta exploring the grounds of this visual oasis. We completed our shoot at their house in order to feature their small furry children Optimus Prime and Anemone. Needless to say, I had so much fun and I can’t wait for their wedding in the fall!

I had the pleasure of trotting around Atlanta with Cristina and Chris for their engagement shoot! As I was uploading their images to add to the queue, I couldn’t resist sharing one of my favorite images from the evening! The most beautiful view of Atlanta that I’ve ever seen! It just so happens to be the exact location of Chris proposed!

As I was driving to the coffee shop, eagerly awaiting Amy & Justin— I couldn’t help but wonder what they would be like. I was forewarned to not judge… considering they would be “decked out” in Renaissance Festival gear. But the only thing running through my head was meat on a stick… turkey legs… and the petting zoo— they gotta be cool!

When I walked in, Amy was comfortably perched next to Justin. She was wearing an all black gypsy outfit with a crocheted hat, a belly dancing styled coin skirt with a black tiered skirt underneath. Justin was wearing a t-shirt and cargo shorts. This is my kind of couple. Detail oriented, free-spirited, and outgoing mixed with old fashioned, laid back, quiet type. They are a perfect balance.

Amy and Justin wanted a location that was important to them so we decided to shoot their engagement session at the same location as their first date— Marietta Square… where they swing danced the night away.

So…  a couple of weeks ago, Joel and Dia met me at one of my favorite camp sites of all time— Persimmon Creek in Murphy, NC –at the Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee corners. They are such a cute couple! They kept saying to me “oh we’re such a boring couple!” but really— they were anything but! They were so cool and relaxed— and up for an adventure! Engagement Session | John & Nicole are in love!! | Atlanta Wedding Photographer

John and Nicole are the JAM! The whole shoot we kept saying to each other… “this is so chill! It’s like hangin’ out with friends!” and it was. Their shoot entailed ice cream, balloons, pinwheels, jelly beans, a relaxed attitude, and “that’s what she said” jokes! — my kind of people!! We made several stops [...]

Their shoot entailed ice cream, balloons, pinwheels, jelly beans, a relaxed attitude, and “that’s what she said” jokes! — my kind of people!! We made several stops in/near Marietta… some of which included the square– which I must say, everyone and their mother who owns a camera was there that Sunday. We stopped off at the park, as well as some private properties that proudly displayed ‘no trespassing or we will shoot you’ signs… needless to say, paranoia ensued and we skedaddled immediately. Here are a few that I fell in love with.
